General info
- What is MUPE?
- MUPE is an Open Source application platform for creating mobile multi-user context-aware applications. The platform can be used to create mobile games, virtual worlds, collaboration applications and any other user authenticated services. See also: WhatIsMUPE.
- What applications has been made?
- You can download a number of MUPE application servers, as seen in the following screenshots. Go to Downloads and select Applications. Install them and run them at your own servers. See developers section for instructions how to run MUPE servers at your own computer.
- Can I try the applications?
- We usually have some test servers running at: mupe.no-ip.org, connect to ports: 8082, 8084, 8085, 8086, 8088, 8091, or 8092. Not guaranteed, though.
- Can I develop applications with MUPE?
- Yes, get MUPE files from Downloads, and go to Documentation for manuals and tutorials. MUPE is available under the Nokia Open Source License (NOKOS License) Version 1.0a

Download and Install
Get MUPE to your phone HERE. (Use Save Link As... option in your browser if the download does not start by clicking the link).
- Install to phone. Download it directly with the phone browser to your phone by navigating to this page, or download it to your PC and install from there.
- Set settings on phone to allow use of phone resources. After MupeClient has been installed, the following settings make it work more smoothly.
- Go to Tools->Manager (or to the locaiton that contains installed applications settings)
- Select MupeClient2->Settings from the list
- Set the properties to "Always allowed" or "Ask First Time" when necessary.
- You need to have connection settings for accessing the Internet from the phone, see your operator for details
Important! MUPE is an online mobile service and uses the wireless network connection
to access MUPE servers and this costs money. Most operators in the world charge you
based on how many bytes you transfer. Check your operator for pricing.
By default MUPE service itself don't have any subscriber fee so all the related costs
depend on your mobile operator.
